Description
Certificate issued to H. L. Crawford for passing the entrance exam in Coastwise Navigation and Pilot Rules. The certificate admitted him membership to the United States Power Squadrons and enrolling him in the South Shore Power Squadron on Long Island. The lower portion lists his qualifications as senior member and advanced pilot. The United States Power Squadrons (USPS) is a non-profit educational organization, founded in 1914, whose mission is to improve maritime safety and enjoyability through classes in seamanship, navigation, and other related subjects.
