- Black and white photograph of road construction, probably in Rocky Mount, N.C. It is part of a set of photographs documenting the work of grading and paving, creation of sidewalks and curbs, equipment used, and underground work for the project. In addition, the photographs show many of the architectural styles of homes and commercial buildings in Rocky Mount (?) as well as automobiles in use in 1924.
