- Description
- Letter to Harry Buchanan, president of the Cherokee Historical Society, during planning stages of Unto These Hills. It discusses several people that would be involved, their possible roles in the production, and fees that may be involved. The play, written by Kermit Hunter, follows the story of the Cherokee of the Eastern region up to their removal in 1838 via the Trail of Tears to Indian Territory, now Oklahoma. It has been performed in Cherokee, North Carolina since 1950.
