Description
A two page handwritten letter by Lt. William M. Orr III to his “sweetie” back home, while he was serving with the U.S. Army near Can Tho in South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He writes of his soon-to-be-expected discharge from the Army, and he states that there were 70 desertions within a twenty-day time period out of 460 men in his camp.
