One typed page of minutes from a meeting of the executive committee of the American Legion Pitt County Post No. 39. The meeting discussed a bill before Congress that would socialize medical services throughout the country by increasing the social security tax paid on wages. The Post felt the bill would be detrimental to the welfare of the country at the time. Also, the National Youth Administration is mentioned; it is suggested that their equipment be turned over to the Pitt County schools. The meeting was held in the office of Paul A.
