Undated shot from Honey in the Rock depicting a Civil War battle between North and South. Kermit Hunter's Honey in the Rock is the nation’s oldest Civil War drama, recounting the story of West Virginia’s journey to statehood. It was performed at Grandview Amphitheatre just outside Beckley, West Virginia. Sadly, Theatre West Virginia had to close its doors after 53 seasons in September 2013 due to financial difficulties.
