- Clipping from unidentified newspaper dated February of 1916 concerning Colonel William H. Osborn's record as United States Commissioner of Internal Revenue. William H. Osborn (1856-1921) was a native of Granville County, N.C., and a prominent businessman in Greensboro, N.C. An interest in politics led him successfully to the mayoralty of Greensboro (1901-1905) and later to the office of commissioner of internal revenue (1914-1917).
