- Handwritten minutes from the East Carolina Teachers College Student Government Association (SGA) meetings dated October 1, 1927 to May 28, 1928. The minutes provide an image of college life at the time. The bulk of the minutes regard discussion of student privileges, discipline for various offenses, and the consequences handed down by SGA to offenders. Two items of particular note were laid in the mintue book. The first is a voting ticket dated March 23, 1929 which students used to vote for members of the Student Government Association, the Campus Committee, and for House Presidents. The second item is a pledge which all members of the student body would have signed which states that they will uphold the values of the college, follow the rules and regulations established and enforced by the college and SGA, and to support the SGA by reporting abuses by other students. Also included in the minutes are superlatives for students as voted on by the student body (Dec. 17), an initiative to make the college the center of the Greenville community, and plans for on-campus entertainment, among other items. Minutes are written on letterhead of the organization.
