- Crown articulator for setting crowns or bridges. Dental articulator with screw and pin hinge that lines up the upper and lower teeth. This differs from a full articulator that is jointed so as to imitate the movement of the jaw. Only the pin is made of iron, the rest of the instrument may be made of tin.
