- Youth who witnessed first airplane flight waits for Mr. Wright at Kitty Hawk published in the Virginian-Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark. John Moore of Nags Head, N.C. witnessed the Wright brothers first flight as a young boy. Moore was part of a group of five to witness the first flight and his experience of the event is recounted. Moore hopes to speak to Orville Wright again when Wright returns to Kitty Hawk, N.C. for 25th Anniversary of the first flight to take place in a few days time.
