In tiny print on the lower right corner is: Mayer, Merkel & Ottmann, Lith., N.Y. The reverse of the card has the heading: Old Fashioned. "Our Backache Plaster ... is made from those old fashioned medicines: Hemlock Gum, Burgundy Pitch, Galbaum ... and to those ingredients are added the Extract of Smart Weed and the Extract of Belladonna." It is used for backache, rheumatism, neuralgia, asthma, pleurisy, and kidney troubles. Price is 25 cents. Carter Medicine Co., New York City.
