Description
The front of this card depicts a little boy, wearing a green and yellow-striped swimsuit, a monocle and carrying a cane, standing by the seashore, with a guardian angel standing next to him in the guise of a little girl, wearing a pink and blue-striped swimsuit, holding an umbrella over the boy's head. The little boy is holding a box of something in his right hand. There are several seagulls and sailing vessels in the background. The words "Pond's Extract Vegetable Pain Destroyer" and "Never Sold by Measure, See Landscape Trade Mark on Every Wrapper" are written in the sand by their feet. The words, "J.W.F. Willson, Jr. Druggist, Cor. Broadway and Dorchester Street, S. Boston" is displayed on top of the card and "What's On The Back" is displayed at the bottom of the card. The reverse of the card states that "Pond's Extract, Sold Only in Bottles with Buff Wrappers", Every mother should have it. Invaluable for Sprains, Burns, Scalds, Bruises, Soreness, Rheumatism, Boils, Ulcers, Old Sores, Toothache, Headache, Sore Throat, Asthma, Hoarseness, Neuralgia, Catarrh and etc." The Learned and Eminent Scholar, Andrew D. White, President of Cornell University, Ithaca, New York writes a testimonial. Prices are 50 cents, $1.00, and $1.75.
