- Front depicts a young girl, dressed in white with a pink bow in her mobcap, with her arms crossed looking forward with the caption "Prof. Horsford Self-Raising Bread Preparation" and at the bottom are the words "The Healthful & Nutritious Baking Powder". The reverse of the card states the advantages of Horsford's Bread Preparation over ordinary baking powders. First - it is healthy and nutritious, Second - It will not deteriorate, Third - It is pure, Fourth - It is reliable and Fifth - It is economical. For sale by Isaac Slayton, dealer in crockery, hardware, fine groceries and fruit, Spencer, Mass. The Major & Knapp Lith. Co. included on bottom right of front of card.
