Patrick Fain (Pat) Dye, center seated, was announced as the new head football coach at East Carolina University this morning. Announcing the new appointment was Dr. Leo W. Jenkins, Chancellor of ECU, left seated, and chairman of the ECU board of trustees, Roddy Jones, right seated. Dye comes to ECU from Blythe, Georgia. He was an All-American Lineman and was an assistant coach for eight years under Paul "Bear" Bryant of Alabama. more...
