Like today, many children and adults of the early 20th century enjoyed eating cookies and other treats. Most of the treats sold at the country store were sold out of bulk jars, like the one pictured here, until the appearance of individual packaging in the 1960s. The jar shown here was for Jack's Cookies produced in Charlotte, North Carolina. These cookies sold 2 for 1 penny. Today Jack's Cookie Company operates under the name of Mckee Foods most famous for their Little Debbie brand. more...
