Letter from Andy Griffith to J. D. Messick

Andy Griffith

Mr. J. D. Messick, President

East Carolina College

Greenville, N.C.

Dear Mr. Messick:

I wish I could do something to help you get tickets to the show. The fact is I cannot. My house seats have been gone for some time and that is the only way I can get tickets. And then I only have two.

The only thing I can suggest is that you go by the boxoffice about 8:15 on May 7 and ask for turn in tickets. A good many people get in that way.

We are of course happy the play is sold out but sorry we can't help our friends.

Sincerely,

Andy Griffith
