Essay on September 11, 2001

Matt Cuddington

What happened yesterday was a horrible act. Nobody could've ever dreamed an act of terrorism of that magnitude, to effect the USA, Much less the way that the terrorism acts took place. What kind of sick person/persons hijacks a plane and crashes it into an extremely populated area such as the World Trade Center and The Pentagon. These two sites have such an important bearing on the everyday function of the US. The World Trade Center is located in the center of the Financial Capitals of the world. The Pentagon is the founder of Military Intelligence. Who ever coordinated this attack knew what they were doing and where they were aiming. If you wanted to hurt us the most (being an outsider, what would you hit first.) The World Trade Center - a center which has such a financial bearing on the whole country, and the Pentagon - military. I feel sorry for the families of the people who perished yesterday. They will forever be remembered on the most tragic day in U.S. history. Who ever did this (bin laden) should pay the Ultimate Price. This guy said about a month or 3 weeks ago that he was going to attack to[the] US soon. He said that it was going to be a big attack. He gave the first warning that he was going to do something like this. Now look at what happened yesterday. The hugest terrorist attack of America in our history. I mean, they've already made connection that this was associated to him and his organization. I know that we should wait and find out all the facts before we going pointing fingers, but it's kind of hard to wait when a situation like this happen. All I know is the when we strike back, it will be a mighty and fierce blow, that will cripple whoever did this (or at least it better). Anything else would be unacceptable. I'm not a sadist or anything, but when we are absolutely sure who did this (bin laden) would should capture him/then and have a public hanging where the WTC once stood.
