The image on this Christmas card was drawn by William Meade Prince (1893-1951), an illustrator and author who lived in Chapel Hill, N.C. Prince and his wife, Lillian, sent this card to best-selling novelist Inglis Fletcher of Edenton, N.C. Message states: In the midst of our humdrum, everyday activities, we pause to wish you an extremely happy Christmas and a fine, fat New Year. Lillian and Wm. Meade Prince, Chapel Hill (The Southern Part of Heaven), N.C., December 25, 1950. Prince illustrated articles in such magazines as Collier’s and Saturday Evening Post and later taught art at the University of North Carolina.
