Description: From author: Since the age of twelve, I have participated in protests, letter writing campaigns, and outreach programs to educate people on the LGBTQ+ community and the importance of acceptance. Currently I volunteer with the LGBT Resource Office at ECU to share my own personal story as a transgender woman in classes around campus. Helping others accept and love themselves is one of the most rewarding experiences for me; from helping friends start medically transitioning to paving the way for family members to come out. Hooper is a Senior in the English and Great Books programs. Pronouns: she/her/hers or they/them/theirs.
