Description: Thomas Bowman Brewer served as East Carolina University's second chancellor, from 1978-1982, and as the sixth chief administrative officer of the school. During Leo Jenkins’ tenure, administrative nomenclature changed, with the chief executive being referred to as chancellor rather than president. Jenkins was thus the last president and first chancellor of East Carolina University, while Brewer was its second. Date approximated.
