She discusses having to travel with her bedding since it is not provided in other places, and she mentions seeing a concert by a Russian trio. Also, she discusses the death of a man from the Congregational Board by typhus fever. A native of Winterville, Venetia Cox was an Episcopal missionary music teacher in mainland China between 1917 and 1950.
