Description: The American, Horatio Greenough, took his design for a stereomicroscope with Porro prisms to the Carl Zeiss Optical Workshop. Zeiss introduced it in 1896. Other manufacturers copied the design for over thirty years. This one has the low base. The serial number is 45550.
