Early Continental Style Microscope
Title: Early Continental Style Microscope
Identifier: LL02.48.03.05   (https://digital.lib.ecu.edu/22005)
Description: Hartnack invented the continental-style microscope with a horseshoe base, which would become the dominant style until built-in electric light sources. He took Prazmowski as a partner to run the Paris branch of the business. At the beginning of the Franco-Prussian war, in 1870, he moved to Potsdam permanently. This one has a bullseye condenser lens and a typical French appearance.
