Eczema Labii Superioris
Title: Eczema Labii Superioris
Identifier: LL02.49.00.20   (https://digital.lib.ecu.edu/21126)
Description: Dermatologic stereoview card. Front of card depicts two views of a man’s face and neck. The man has medium brown hair and a mustache. He is wearing a shirt and suit. The man’s face is covered with Eczema Labii Superioris around the nose and mustache region of his face. The reverse of the card describes the dermatologic conditions as well as the diagnosis and treatment. Eczema located upon the border of any mucous orifice of the body is nearly always caused, aggravated or prolonged by some escaping secretion. When the eczema is confined to the skin in the region of the upper lip it will be found associated usually with chronic hypertrophic rhinitis. During the treatment the nasal discharge had to be cleared, then the mustache was epilated or shaved; also ointment mixtures , specific oils and tar were used.
