Description: First part of Michelle A. Francis' interview with Mr. and Mrs. James G. Teague. The second part is from July 30, 1983. Mr. Teague is a retired North Carolina potter who came from a family of potters. They discuss the process of creating pottery, some aspects of salt glazes, and the pottery trade in the first half of the 20th century. They talk about other potters working in the area, including J.B. Cole. Mr. Teague also discusses his deployment to Fort Bragg and Hawaii during the Second World War.
