Minutes, programs, correspondence, journals, reprints, reports, posters, and miscellaneous records (1902-2016) documenting the North Carolina Academy of Science.
This collection (c. 1880-2001) contains the papers of three generations of U.S. Navy officers whose service covered the years 1891 through 1963. Correspondence, orders, reports, photographs, certificates, publications, a diary, ships histories, clippings and reminiscences document their careers and that of Waldron McLellon's uncle who served in the U.S. Navy from 1934 through 1952. Waldron M. McLellon graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1941 and copious material relates to the lives of the USNA Class of 1941 members through 2001. Other papers concern the genealogy of Waldron McLellon's family.
Papers (1736–2018) including correspondence, financial documents, legal documents, personal and family materials, printed materials, and photographic materials collected by E. Frank Stephenson Jr. relating to the Benjamin B. Winborne Family, the R. J. Gatling Family, E. Frank Stephenson Jr., and other people in North Carolina and Virginia, especially the Murfreesboro, North Carolina, area. The documents were collected by E. Frank Stephenson Jr. for research use while writing numerous historical publications and to make the items available for other researchers to utilize. Many of Mr. Stephenson's publications are also included in the collection.

Papers (1830-2011, undated [bulk 1830-1973]) relating to the Young – Spicer family of Fredericks Hall, Louisa County, Virginia and related families living in Virginia, Mississippi and Louisiana, including correspondence relating to the civil war, businesses, taxes & family matters; journals, photographic prints; genealogical and historical files and a listing of the gravestones in the Young-Spicer Cemetery at the family home, "Locust Grove" at Fredericks Hall, Virginia. This collection contains the congressional files for U.S. House of Representatives member Walter B. Jones, Jr., who represented the 3rd Congressional District of North Carolina from 1995 until his death in 2019. Included are files, scrapbooks, media, and electronic files. The electronic files were created by his staff and included speeches, correspondence, articles, promotional material, notes and videos for the years 2005-2018.
