Papers (1817-1902) consisting of deeds, receipts, clipping, account book, tintype, and a transfer of land related to Lenoir Co., North Carolina.

Papers (1943–1945) including copies of correspondence, personal notations, orders, addresses, photographs, reminiscences, equipment lists, and reports pertaining to his World War II service with the 14th Malaria Control Unit of the U.S. Army Air Corps in New Guinea and the Philippines, 1943–1945, including references to malaria control, military issues, and incidents involving Japanese, American and Filipino forces.

Journal of a Cruize in the USS Independence, Commodore William Bainbridge's Flag Ship, Capt. William M. Crane, Commander, from Boston, July 2nd, 1815 (3 July–15 November 1815), compiled by an anonymous crew member, which describes the first overseas mission of the first ship of the line commissioned by the United States Navy, to deal with the piratical acts of the Barbary Powers against American merchant commerce in the Mediterranean Sea, bound in original calf leather over marbled boards, entries clean and legible; also a letter from William M. Crane, Commanding Officer, USS Delaware, Port Mahon (20 September 1829) to Lt. William N, McKean, U.S. sloop Warren, ordering him to report to Lt. Thomas M. Newell, commander of the U.S. schooner Porpoise.

Material (1887, 1909-1969) related to the family of George E. and Nellie Maria Chambers Robinson of Montana, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Washington. Included are marriage and birth certificates, cemetery plot records, a divorce decree, photographs (also tintypes), a photograph album, and records and clippings concerning their son Harley G. Robinson who died in World War I.

Collection (1899-1957 [Bulk: 1899-1954]) of diaries by Rev. J.G. Cassel, a Brethren of Christ missionary in Guatemala, 1899-1957; also an untitled history of missionary work in Guatemala by William Haymaker, written in 1947, describing his missionary career, 1887-1947. 8 vols. Papers (1736–2018) including correspondence, financial documents, legal documents, personal and family materials, printed materials, and photographic materials collected by E. Frank Stephenson Jr. relating to the Benjamin B. Winborne Family, the R. J. Gatling Family, E. Frank Stephenson Jr., and other people in North Carolina and Virginia, especially the Murfreesboro, North Carolina, area. The documents were collected by E. Frank Stephenson Jr. for research use while writing numerous historical publications and to make the items available for other researchers to utilize. Many of Mr. Stephenson's publications are also included in the collection.

Collection (1910-1928, undated) of photocopies of correspondence, programs, and a volume relating to a Wilmington (NC) attorney, political leader, and mason. **Please note the collection is photocopies only. ECU does not own the originals.

This collection contains a photograph album belonging to East Carolina Teachers Training School alumnus Helen Virginia Wootton. It contains photographs of friends and events at ECTTS, her family, and various places in North Carolina including Wendell, Grimesland, and Zebulon.

Included are a copy of the Daniels-Murphrey Family History compiled and edited by Eleanor Daniels Casey in 1993, a photograph of the USS Nebraska that Benjamin Daniels of Wayne County, North Carolina, sailed to Europe on in WWI, and three photographs of Benjamin Daniels in his WWI US Navy uniform.
