The four month stay in Cuba of the 1st Battalion, 1st North Carolina Volunteers, from December 1898 through March 1899 is documented in these sixty amateur albumen photographs with captions. The photographs are 3 1/2" x 3 3/8" in 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" mounts. The soldiers arrived in Havana, Cuba, the day after the Treaty of Paris was signed ending the Spanish American War.
Papers (1917-1918) of Lt. William T. Clements documenting his experience with the 17th U.S. Aero Squadron, American Expeditionary Forces, during training in the U.S. and England, and service in France during World War I. Included are a diary, and a microfilm copy of his World War I photograph album.

This collection consists of the records of the Institute of Outdoor Theatre which was founded in 1963 and includes material related to over 600 outdoor theatres, some of which began operation in the 1920s. Included are play scripts, correspondence, clippings, publicity material, video and audio recordings, feasibility studies, publications, reel-to-reel tapes, 35 mm slides, blueprints, and audition-related materials. This collection is being processed with the support of a National Historical Publications and Records Commission grant.

Greenville Industries was a for-profit corporation founded to sell land at reduced rates to industries to encourage them to set up businesses in Pitt County, North Carolina.
The collection includes correspondence, minutes, programs, lists, dues information, journal reprints and articles, newsletters, receipts, clippings, reports, and photographs. Addition of January 2017 includes programs, newsletters, photographs, books, articles, clippings, deceased members files, Country Doctor Museum and East Carolina University alliance, and transcription project of the Country Doctor Museum oral histories.
