Heavily ornate steel engravings at boarders with 3 insets of images of Table Mountain, Chimney Rock, French Broad River and a Plan of Charleston. Evenly browned with crease at center fold. Papers of [Edward Joseph] Ted Walker (1963-1983 [Bulk: 1963-1964]) documenting the life and literary career of the noted English-born poet, short story writer, travel writer, television and radio writer, and broadcaster, who later taught creative writing at New England College's campus in West Sussex, United Kingdom; consisting of his letters to John Smith regarding publication of his poems; holographs and corrected typescripts of his poems; and loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection related to Stuart Wright's purchase of Poems for Cordelia, by Ted Walker (1972).
Papers (1864-1866) of soldier from Beaufort County who was killed in action near Petersburg, Va., during the Civil War while serving in the 33 Regiment of N.C. Troops, including correspondence, especially one notifying his mother of his death.
