Vice Admiral Olaf M. Hustvedt (USNA Class of 1909), discusses his thirty-six year career, including service in World War I and World War II, heading the Experimental Section in the Bureau of Ordnance, serving as Production Chief of the Naval Gun Factory, commanding the USS Detroit and the USS North Carolina, Commander of Battleships in the Atlantic Fleet, and commanding Battleship Division 7.
Material (1862-2017) including correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, narrative reminiscences, and a muster roll (1862) and other original documents related to Dr. William N. Still, Jr.'s career as a well-known and respected maritime historian and author. His research topics included shipbuilding in North Carolina, maritime history, and Naval history in the American Civil War through World War II.

This collection (1850-1969; bulk 1860-1889) of papers belonging to Wilmington, New Hanover County, NC, attorneys, who were father and son and both named Marsden Bellamy, includes wills, deeds, estate and mortgage records, legal briefs, correspondence, insurance policies, account books, loan records, receipts of payment, agreements and other legal records.
Papers include photocopies of transcriptions of correspondence (1863-1864) written by Josiah Robert Peele Ellis of Wilson Co., North Carolina, to his wife Elizabeth Grimes Ellis while he was serving in Company C of the 43rd N.C. Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. The letters were transcribed in 1977 by Hugh Buckner Johnston who also provided supplementary information. Also included are genealogy records for the Ellis and Hill families of Eastern North Carolina.

The records of Earl Trevathan Papers are comprised of Greenville, North Carolina, materials relating to urban renewal, Greenville's housing problems, redevelopment, land utilization and marketability, and public education. Photocopies of a diary (May 30-Aug. 7, 1862) kept by Alfred F. Williams of the 1st North Carolina Cavalry during the Civil War covering troop movements, his capture, and his exchange. Also includes a general store account record (1865-1867).
Negative files (1920-1967) and electronic files (on CDs) of photographs (1968-1989) used for the publishing of The Daily Reflector newspaper. The collection documents daily news and events in Greenville, NC and its surrounding area.
Thomas R. Lundin was born March 24, 1982, in Madison, Wisconsin. After completing high school in 2000 in Greenville, North Carolina, he joined the U.S. Army and served as an Apache Helicopter crew chief for 3rd Infantry Division in Kuwait during the Iraqi War of 2003. This collection contains papers, a diary, maps, military manuals, and ephemera related to his service, especially during the Iraqi War.

Jackson, a student at Wake Forest College, including names of the original members, pastors, and changes of name and location over the years, including Pitt Swift Creek Baptist Church, 1808; Handcock Baptist Church, 1808-1883; Antioch Baptist Church, 1883-1907; and Winterville Baptist Church, 1907-.
This collection contains material documenting the history of Everetts Baptist Church in Everetts, Martin County, North Carolina. Included are deeds (1953, 1963, 1980, 1981) for the parsonage land and land for later buildings; an album containing identified photographs, clippings, correspondence and a program related to the church's 1977 celebration of its Centennial; a photograph album (1950s-1980s) concerning the church containing mostly unidentified photographs, clippings and programs; and a History of Everetts Baptist Church 1877-1974 by Helen K. Peel, the donor's mother. The collection also includes Mrs. Peel's research notes, and a scrapbook (1971-1978, 1990) containing letters, church bulletins, and clippings she kept while writing, publishing, and selling her publication, information related to the 1977 Centennial Celebration, and general questions asked of her as the church historian.
The William Cobb Whitfield Papers consists of a class notebook, ephemera found in books belonging to Whitfield, and various other papers ranging from 1873 to 1936. Additionally, notes from a conversation between Miles J. Smith, donor of collection and great-nephew of Whitfield, and Ruth Moskop, from History Collections at Laupus Library.
