Partial casualty report (7/6/1863) for the 5th North Carolina Infantry at the Battle of Gettysburg 1 - 3 July 1863, missing pages 1 - 4, but recording the wounded of part of Company G, all of companies H, and K, and including a complete recapitulation of the regiment's losses: killed (39), wounded (235), and missing (55), signed by 2d Lt. Edward S. Smedes who was later killed in action at Spotsylvania Court House, VA.

Material (1844-1891) including correspondence, account books, speeches, pamphlets, receipts, legal papers, and publications concerning William Robinson (an Irish immigrant) who was a newspaper publisher, town commissioner and mayor of Goldsboro, Wayne County, North Carolina, and his son Dr. Marius Emmet Robinson who practiced in Goldsboro, operated a drugstore with his brother, and was the first chief of staff of Goldsboro's first hospital.

Interview with Roy H. Lake (1923-2018), a member of the U.S. Navy B-1 Band, the first all-African American Band in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Verso of the audiotape includes the U.S. Navy B-1 Band Reunion Memorial Service at the Baptrist Student Union of East Carolina University on 10/19/2003. Received 11/10/2003.

Materials include clippings, correspondence, contracts and financial records, advertising materials, photographic prints and compact discs, printing plates, printed materials, trademark registration certificates, video recordings, ephemera,etc. Digital files document the history of the Minges family of Catawba and Pitt Counties, North Carolina, and the history of the Minges Bottling Group.

Joyner Library at East Carolina University, in October 1973, prior to the construction of two extra floors and the addition of a new west wing to the building, for Library Science 1000 class; also photocopies of correspondence, historical research reports, and newspaper clippings about the Greenville Town Common Confederate flags controversy, in 1983–1989; also photocopies of newspaper clippings about the Confederate flag, 1983–1989. Collection also contains 4 photographs of individuals from the Collins-Becton family.
