Papers (1943–1945) including copies of correspondence, personal notations, orders, addresses, photographs, reminiscences, equipment lists, and reports pertaining to his World War II service with the 14th Malaria Control Unit of the U.S. Army Air Corps in New Guinea and the Philippines, 1943–1945, including references to malaria control, military issues, and incidents involving Japanese, American and Filipino forces.
Papers (1736–2018) including correspondence, financial documents, legal documents, personal and family materials, printed materials, and photographic materials collected by E. Frank Stephenson Jr. relating to the Benjamin B. Winborne Family, the R. J. Gatling Family, E. Frank Stephenson Jr., and other people in North Carolina and Virginia, especially the Murfreesboro, North Carolina, area. The documents were collected by E. Frank Stephenson Jr. for research use while writing numerous historical publications and to make the items available for other researchers to utilize. Many of Mr. Stephenson's publications are also included in the collection.
This collection contains letters (1964-1967) written by brothers Terrence and Dennis Miller of St. Louis, Missouri, who joined the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Letters written by Dennis Miller during 1967 document his time serving in Vietnam as part of 3rd BN, 60th Ord Co. Also included are letters written by fellow soldiers and friends (through 1971), service records, negatives, military payment certificates, and Vietnamese money.

This collection (1909-1924) contains seventeen letters, one Christmas card, and a Panamanian calendar sent by A. P. Wilde from Empire in the Canal Zone, to relatives in Louisa County, Virginia. During this time Mr. Wilde was employed by the Isthmian Canal Commission in the Department of Examination of Accounts while the Panama Canal was being built across the Isthmus of Panama. Topics discussed are work on the Canal, the effects of drought, earthquakes, and hurricanes, difficulties of sea travel, treatment of malaria, the drawdown of clerks as the Canal is completed, and his political opinions.
