This collection (ca. 1909-2002) contains documents related to the career of David Jordan Whichard II of Greenville, N.C., longtime editor of The Daily Reflector and president and chief executive officer of the newspaper's publishing firm. Whichard also served on many professional boards such as the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association, the N.C. Press Association, the Associated Press Board of Directors, the UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Trustees, the ECU Board of Trustees, the UNC System Board of Governors, and on the board for Wachovia Corporation. All of these activities plus other business-related and civic-related activities are reflected in the correspondence, minutes, reports, publications, financial records, and clippings in this collection.

The Richland County Ballot (1876) is a "tissue ballot" that was used in the South Carolina "White Supremacy Election."

Collection (1795-1919) consisting of photocopies of tax lists, correspondence, election polls, business receipts, legal papers, and miscellaneous items concerning the Smith family of Chicod, Pitt County, N.C.

Records (ca. 1976-2004) of the East Carolina Council (North Carolina) of Boy Scouts of America include minutes of the Executive Board, photographs, issues of the Tarheel Scouter newspaper, and files pertaining to awards given to scouts.

Collection (1934-2022, undated) of programs, constitutions, bulletins, reports, membership records, memorials, correspondence, scrapbooks and clippings related to the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International and its Beta Alpha and Delta Chapters in Greenville, North Carolina, and Sigma Chapter in Kinston and Lenoir County, North Carolina.

This collection (1912-2003, bulk 1951-1959) contains data records, reports, correspondence, graphs, and blueprints related to the development of the Roanoke River Basin in Virginia and North Carolina by the Virginia Power Company aka Virginia Electric and Power Company (VEPCO).

This collection contains the records (1873-2010) of the fraternal secret society Knights of Pythias Grand Lodge, Domain of North Carolina. Records include biennial and annual reports of local lodges, the Records of Proceedings for the annual sessions of the Grand Lodge, financial records, minute book, constitutions and bylaws, publications and items such as the 1909 Pythian Service Book.

Imperial folio sheets, pasted on linen backing (probably in 18th century) with some insect damage and repairs, and some loss of information. Framed dimensions: 50-1/4" x 62-1/2". Scale: 1" = 5 miles. This collection features oral history interviews conducted in 2011 with twelve members of the Latino community of eastern North Carolina who occupy positions ranging from recognized leadership to informal influence in the lives of Latino youth. Their occupational backgrounds are varied including professional, entrepreneurial, technical and working class trades. The interviewers were Dr. Ricardo Contreras and Dr. David Griffith of the Anthropology Department at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.
