This collection includes The History of the World War II Submarine Chaser, USS SC- 632, 1942-1945.
The collection is comprised of two ledger books and a booklet. The ledgers are from 1945 to 1951 and 1952 to 1958. In them is a list of examinations with date, name, date paid, and amount. A separate section is maintained for "negro" or "colored" patients.
Hometown Bethel was started in 2002 to help restore and revitalize Bethel, North Carolina. This collection contains five scrapbooks (2002-2016) of photographs, clippings, photocopies, and handwritten material documenting events taking place in Bethel such as Harvest Festivals, Easter celebrations, and Christmas Parades; Hurricane Irene's effects; and the history of Bethel. Also included are a few Whistle Worthy News newsletters put out by Hometown Bethel, and information concerning and a 2004 publication about Bethel veterans.

Papers of James Wright (1981-1990), documenting the life and literary career the noted Martins Ferry, Ohio-born American poet of the postmodern era; consisting of a copy of the James Wright Memorial Issue of Envoy Magazine (Spring-Summer 1981), edited by Henri Cole, published by the Academy of American Poets; also including loose manuscript items transferred from a book in the Stuart Wright Book Collection, entitled Saint Judas, (1939), by James Wright consisting of correspondence between Anne [Mrs. James A.] Wright and Stuart Wright concerning possible publication of Wright's work entitled Mosaic of a Journey.
Papers of Michael Mewshaw (1984) documenting the life and literary career of the Washington, DC-born American novelist, travel writer, literary critic, tennis reporter and creative writing educator at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and the University of Texas, Austin, where he directed the creative writing program; consisting of bound uncorrected proofs for Year of the Gun (1984), one of Mewshaw's best-known novels.

Diary (1864-1865) kept by William W. Perry, a Pennsylvania soldier who joined the Union Army on January 4, 1864, at the age of thirteen. Also included are eight pages listing the men from Ringgold, Pennsylvania, who served in the Union Army during the Civil War.
