Material relating to the life of Clarence Stasavich before he came to East Carolina University in 1962 to be the head football coach (and later athletic director) and after his death in 1975. Included is correspondence (1942-1945) related to his time in the U.S. Navy during World War II where he was an LST Commander in several theatres of war, items related to his time at Lenoir Rhyne College as a football coach prior to coming to East Carolina University, and clippings and documents related to his death in 1975, the subsequent memorial service, and scholarships created in his memory.

The collection is comprised of papers from Dr. I. Henderson Lutterloh and his son Dr. I. Hayden Lutterloh. It includes correspondence, licenses and receipts from Lutterloh Clinic and Drugstore, medical informational booklets, and handwritten notes from Hayden's education at Jefferson Medical College. Also included is a book based on Hayden's recollections of medicine in Sanford beginning with his father.
The Van de Sande Family Papers include paper soldiers, horses, and weapons Thilleman van de Sande made circa 1775 in the netherlands; two diplomas for Thilleman; document about Thilleman becoming a doctor written by A. Ypey; and a diploma for Daniel van de Sande.
