This collection includes 108 Chatham County, North Carolina, warrants (1804-1840); 2 Onslow County, North Carolina, grants (1788, no date); and 1897 financial receipt with 4 handwritten medicinal cures by Wyley M. Cates of Teer and Alamance County, NC, and print ads for his cures.
This collection contains material (1818-1976) belonging to Emily Louise Loftin (May 10, 1898-December 20, 1985) of Carteret County, North Carolina. She was an educator, librarian, and historian. Included are correspondence, land records, legal records, receipts, wills, and estate records related to the Laughinghouse and Pugh families of Pitt County, N.C., the related Bright and Loftin families of Lenoir County, N.C., and the Pipkin family of Wayne County, N.C. This material was transferred from the Emily Loftin Collection at the History Museum of Carteret County, N.C. Material related to Carteret County remains at the History Museum of Carteret County.
The collection consists of a volume (circa 1897) containing the constitution and bylaws for the Pitt County Medical Society (North Carolina) and also the society's "black list" of patients.
This collection (1961-1999) contains reports, publication issues, newsletter issues, memos, statements, press releases, and a policy guide received by Carroll Webber during his time as a member and as president of the Pitt/Greenville Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union of North Carolina. This collection contains correspondence (1928-2013) between Hattie Lou Cannon Schneider in Tampa, Florida, and her mother and sister and other family members in Pitt County, N.C. The earliest letters were written by Hattie Lou as a child living in Pitt County and a few letters were written to her before and right after her marriage to Charles Leland Schneider, Sr., in 1945 when she was stationed as a WAVE at the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. Also included are photocopies of two photographs, family history charts, and an autograph book which belonged to Hattie Lou Cannon when she was a member of the 1935 Senior Class at Winterville High School in Pitt County, N.C.

The Bible was published in 1857 and the birth, death, and marriage records span the years from 1820 through 1926.
