In this interview, Frances talks about her childhood, being a student at East Carolina, her career in music, her husband Bill Cain's career, her family, and playing tennis in the Greenville Tennis Association.


Biographical/historical information

Frances Earl Johnson was born June 16, 1937 in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. She attended East Carolina College and earned a Batchelor of Music in Performance. In March of 1959, she married Bill Earl Cain and they had two sons. Frances had a lengthy career as an accompanist for many churches, schools, and other community organizations, and as an instructor at East Carolina.
