Scope and arrangement

This collection primarily contains newspaper articles from The Daily Reflector about East Carolina University's Division of Health Sciences and ECU Health's (previously Vidant Medical Center) interaction with the larger community. Some of the topics include Hurricane Irene, Founders Day, building and potential closing of various hospitals, free clinics to assist eugenics and sterilization victim claims, and master plans between ECU and ECU Health (previously Vidant Medical Center). Community Health Reports and Needs Assements for Pitt County are also included.
