Scope and arrangement

This collection contains personal correspondence between family members and school friends concerning college courses and activities at North Carolina State College and North Carolina College for Women, teaching assignments in Castle Hayne, N.C., family get-togethers, marriage, home, and children. Also included are two report cards and two photographs (1917) from the East Carolina Teachers Training School, an undated playbill from the Lanier and Poe Literary societies at the school, and two grade cards from Kinston (1930-1932), probably from her daughter, Joyce.
