Biographical/historical information

The Mallison family, including Tom H. Mallison Jr. and Minnie Mallison, lived in Craven County in the late 1800's. In June of 1894, Minnie received a letter from Mary Lansiler of Lizzie, N.C., regarding illnesses, traveling, and other family matters. In December of 1895, Tom received a letter from a woman named Lily from Farmville, N.C.


Scope and arrangement

This collection consists of two personal letters (1894, 1895) pertaining to family matters, and a general store ledger (1854-1856), which contains both handwritten and published poems.
