Tuesday, February 11, 1958, Pg. 14CAPTIONAyden youngster received Eagle Scout Award.Emmitt Edison Gibson, 14-year old, sone of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Gibson of 902 West Second Street, received the Eagle Scout Award during ceremonies stated at the Ayden Christian Church. The award was presented by John Behr, District Scout Commissioner.
This is a Scout from Ayden, not Greenville. He was in troop 34, you can see his city strip on the left shoulder. There was an Eagle Scout in that troop in January, 1958 named Emmitt E. Gibson. More than likely this is him, I'll confirm.
