Description
Graduates totaling 2,828 received degrees today at East Carolina University. Retiring chancellor Dr. Leo W. Jenkins was the guest speaker for the commencement. Watching the students receive their degrees are, left to right, former North Carolina governors Bob Scott and Terry Sanford, Governor Jim Hunt, and Dr. Leo Jenkins. Jenkins accepted a position as special advisor to the Governor on economic growth and balanced development, after his 30 years with the University.
