Description
N.C. State Patrolmen arrested about 50 persons after they staged a sit-in in the principal's office of John A. Holmes High School and in the office of the superintendent of Chowan-Edenton Schools in the courthouse. Sheriff Troy Toppin said that 50 black protesters were arrested about 7 p.m. last evening, when they refused to leave the offices.
