Train derailment Lucama
Description
A derailment in Lucama this morning left 46 of the 135 car train in a twisted mass of metal, and one person injured when a boxcar plowed into a home. the train was enroute to Rocky Mount, N.C. from Florence, S.C., loaded with phosphate, pulp board and other various items. According to Seaboard Coastline official, cars started derailing at the 31st car behind the engine, leaving debris in the residential area of the small community.
