Dermatologic stereoview card. Front of card shows a man's torso back view with Pityriasis Versicolor. The reverse of the card describes the dermatologic conditions as well as the diagnosis and treatment. Pityriasis veriscolor is a vegetable parasitic disease characterized by a rash consisting of brownish yellow or yellowish brown sharply circumscribed small spots or irregular broad patches that are almost imperceptibly furfuraceous and occur chiefly on the upper portion of the trunk. The number of macules varies from a few to several hundred. Pityriasis Versicolor may also be known as Chromophytosis, Tinea versicolor, or Dermatomycosis mirosporina seu furfuracea.
