Plant Life of the Cliffs of the Neuse

Abstract:
The Cliffs of the Neuse State Park near Goldsboro has one of the most diverse vegetation areas found in the state's Coastal Plain. The park covers 521 acres. The vegetation in the park is composed of six different community types: mixed pine-hardwoods; deciduous hardwoods; river margin; xeric coarse sand; disturbed; and aquatic.
