Museum Finally Reopens After Major Renovations

In the summer of 2001, the High Point Museum reopened after being closed for three years for a $2 million renovation. The work doubled the size of the museum to 12,000 square feet of floor space. Museum visitors have also doubled, with visits averaging 2,000 a month. The museum features two permanent galleries, changing exhibits, lecture gallery and classrooms. The museum emphasizes the history of High Point.
