Abstract:

"A new generation is discovering why Jimmy Carter, Mark Twain and Elvis enjoyed visits at North Carolina's oldest continuously operating hotel." NuWay Hotel in Burnsville opened in 1833. the hotel survived four generations of ownership under the same family until being sold in 1990s. After a period of decay, a Greensboro couple reopened the established in August 2024.
