"Being raised in the shadow of Seymour Johnson Air Force Base provided one writer an emotional lens through which to view the world." Kristin Davis talks about the close connection between the base and her native home. Noted also are Wayne County Museum and Wayne County Veterans Memorial Park. Seymour Johnson is currently the only Air Force Base named in honor of a Navy officer.
