Abstract:

North Carolina Oyster farmers are facing a "pushback" from homeowners and lawmakers. Bogue Sound, located on the borders of Emerald Isle and Atlantic Beach, is seen as a huge contributor to North Carolina's $30 million oyster industry but may be under scrutiny by locals using moratoriums--temporary prohibitions of activity.
